BELLE ACC System: Cables, racks, etc.

Preamplifier Low Voltage Power Supplies
The preamplifier low voltage is supplied by
Accopian
Model P06PX10 linear power supplies. Each pair of (+/-5V)
supplies sources current for 15 BACC sectors (or the endcap).
The following drawings show the system.
High Voltage Power Supply Cables and Distribution
The HVPS system for the BELLE ACC is based on the LeCroy ViSyn System.
The system uses Model 1458 Mainframes and Model 1461 +3 kV 12-channel
modules. The following drawings show the current plan for how things
will be connected.
- BACC Cable Drawing
- EACC Cable Drawing
- The outputs of the LeCroy 1461 modules are SHV (and RG59 cable). The HV
signals running to the FMPMTs use RG174 cable and a special multi-pin connector
from Hirose. The "bridge" between these two types of connectors
will be made using rack-mounted aluminum boxes from the Buckeye Stamping
Company (we call these "Buckeye boxes"). This shown
here. (12 Kbyte ps). Note that
the SHV cables exit the LeCroy mainframe from the rear and attach
to the rear of the Buckeye boxes via LeCroy/AMP LGH connectors.
The Hirose cables that run to
the FMPMTs in the detector connect to mating connectors on the front
panels of the Buckeye boxes.
- A top view of the Buckeye boxes
shows the way the connectors are arranged. Note that there are
four Hirose connectors, each of which handles 13 HV signals. Thus
each box handles two BACC sectors. The LGH connectors handle either
six or seven HV lines each.
- An electrical schematic
shows the connection between the rear-panel LGH connectors and the
front-panel Hirose connectors. The circuitry is implemented
on a very simple printed circuit board. Swaged terminals on the
board can be used to bus together all of the HV lines on a single
Hirose connector, making it possible to gang together the power supplies.
This can easily be reversed at a later date.
